The circle of life shown through a hummingbird in this vibrant paper world.
This was my second short film to be completed as a part of Texas A&M's vertical studio course. As a part of a team of 6, I got to continue honing my skills in Unreal Engine and lighting, while also taking on new aspects like effects in Houdini and compositing in Nuke. Effects I worked on include the hummingbird birth and the flower growing.
The first shot heavily utilizes compositing to draw the viewer's eye to the bird nest. It was a fun challenge to convey the passage of time in the end primarily through lighting and compositing.
